Lucky

Some days, I wonder how I could be so lucky. Lucky to have the job I have. And the extra babysitting jobs I have. Today is one of those days. I had a great morning with my boys at work, loving Isaac being home from school. Loving that we figured out that indeed Emmett is a stomache sleeper. He went from being lucky to get a 30 min snooze in to now sleeping at least 2 hours if not more at a time at least twice a day. Pretty amazing the difference this is making in his life! Lol! Anyways today the boys were great. And now Im working my second job. My next fav family thats forsure. Surprising, theyre the ones with 3 boys. Imagine that. Anyways, the mom had to go run some errands and i was suppose to have all the kids. Well the dad took the two older ones to a movie and the lil guy is napping. Could i get any luckier? So im sitting here playing on my phone. Oh and she said i wont have to be here too long since the movie started a while ago and i prob wont be here even an hour and she pays me for 4 hours.. to make it worth coming.. and their house is literally 7 minutes from our house. Well worth the drive! Anyways today im feeling lucky. But probably more blessed then lucky. Because its not by luck that I am where I am today :)

Guest Bedroom!

Oh my I am squealing with delight! It has been a L-O-N-G week working on the guest bedroom but it is finally done! Quite a few bumps in the road with things that were suppose to be simple and a few more trips to Menard's then we had thought we'd be making and it now looks amazing if I do say so myself! And by the way, pictures don't do it justice! The golden tan color it now is, is so much more richer in person! But you'll just have to take my word for it! :) And no, the door is not put back on yet. And there's only 2 things hung on the wall, and the rest are sitting in the closet for a later date of when I've decided to figure out exactly where it all should be hung. These are the first holes we've put in the walls since moving in, so I wasn't going to go crazy an hang stuff and then regret it in a week and have to patch even more holes on the brand new painted walls!

Anyways let me tell you a few things that went wrong. I started with painting the closet. We washed the walls only to find the texture would crumble every time we touched it. Hence it hadn't ever even had a coat of paint on it. Totally crazy. So I painted that. And got frustrated enough with that I was ready to throw in the towel. LOL! Then, painted the ceiling. And that's one thing I inherited from my father. Horrible circulation in my arms. Honestly within a minute of having them above my head they start to tingle, and within 2 minutes they full blown have no feeling left. So its a lot of up down up down with it. :) Anyways got one coat done. Realize another coat has to be done. Begged hubby to do it while I had to work that night. He did it, thankfully, and came home to realize yet another coat had to be done. Seriously? Three coats of white going over an off-white color? Who would of thought. Anyways, after three coats there was just a good handful of spots to patch up that looked like roller marks for a fourth coat. Yipes. So thats what we did. Now there happens to be one spot that still bothers hubby, so when we do our next project painting something white hes going to patch that one spot up. Yesh. Anyways that took a lot longer then expected.

Then I painted around all trim with the tan color. That went good. Then Levi painted with the roller all the walls. He pretty much drenched the walls in paint. Thank goodness, because then I only had to go around the trim one more time and it was done! Sweet! So then I remembered the fact that our closet the shelf/hanging stuff is super low. Like if you go in your closet and look at where your hanging stuff hangs, ours is eye level with my eye. Levi stands looking in our closet and he has to look down! LOL! Like he can see the entire top of the shelf, less where the hanging stuff is. So weird! So I thought, shoot I bet the guest closet is the same! Go and check, and yep it is! So I say before we put it all back together, lets move it up! Okay easy right? Yea right! Where they had the braces drilled had studs but go 6 inches up from that and there is no studs! Obviously they rigged something up just to make it possible to hang one right in the middle and one right on both ends of the closet. So another trip to Menard's and we bought a 1x12 to cut the length of the closet and put that attached to the studs and then attach the shelf/poll brackets where they belong to it! Of course we had to paint that two coats and such. Oh and we bought a new fan for the guest bedroom because as you'll see in the pictures the old one was WAY too big for the bedroom. So we bought one that fit much better for the room size! And our room happens to have a small one in it, so when we redo our room we will pull that one out and put the big one in! Yay!

Looking in at the bedroom before.. of course it wasn't all 'set up' and kind of just thrown together with random pictures and what not laying all over, but you get the point. :)

Well not all of that is Christmas present.. theres a random blanket in there, some pictures behind there, and a stack of pants/shorts that don't fit Levi anymore. :) (also note how short the shelf is in this picture!)
Here's during.. the bottom part is the wall.. the top part is the ceiling. Obviously the white part is the new paint. So thats just so you can see what color the wall and ceiling were before. And we thought they were white.. Ha! It actually was a lot worse then it even looks in the picture!
And a picture during.. all cleaned out and taped off painting the ceiling.. took forever!Looking into the bedroom from the door which isn't on yet of course. :) I put the bed together ever so nicely if I do say so myself! Even ironed the bed skirt which I've been wanting to do since I bought it over 2 years ago :) Note the new fan in this picture! It is SO cute!
Looking at the bed.. Definitely need to put something on the wall here... but I am not sure what yet.. or how really. :( Struggling with that part but I love the look of it!
Looking back at the non-existent door. Levi put the mirror back on the dresser, but put it on the opposite way it used to go on (it used to not be stable which was kind of hazardous cause it kept tipping over.) I also switched out the chair to be a more user friendly chair. I put one of the fake plants next to it.. I like it, but it could use something to sit on so its a lil taller.
Looking at the closet. There's the two things we hung! My foot print from 5th grade and the footprint picture. As soon as I saw this bedroom being our guest bedroom I knew that was right where I was going to put that. Kind of big for that wall, but I still love it right there! :)
And a nice clean closet! With a shelf that is a normal height now! You can kind of see a slight line where you can tell the bottom of the 1x12 is. The top of the shelf was below that! So thats approximately how much its moved up. I like it so much better now. :)

Along with all of that, we pretty much cleaned ever service in this room. It has got to be thee cleanest room in the house. I can not say it enough that I think the people who lived here had to have been some of thee dirtiest people ever. I'd just get half way around the room from cleaning just the base board alone and my pail of water would be black. Gross! And the shelf in the closet seriously had 1/4 of an inch of dust on it. Cleaned that off and that original smell of the whole house came rushing back at me! A strange smell of something that seriously reminds me of the smell of warm cat poops. Gross. If it was a shelf that was anywhere else I'd say maybe it was from cat poop but seriously how could it be a shell about 5 1/2 feet up in the air smell like cat poop?! If you have any idea, don't tell me because I'm just going to pretend its NOT possible that a cat would have pooped all over that board as I've washed it 3 times with my bare hands and we are going to still use it. If I do think it had cat poop on it I'd want to replace it and I don't really want to have to do that. LOL! So lets just pretend that's not possible. :)

sleep, paint, teeth

Yesh! So much for a week off! Ive worked almost every day and hardly got any painting done! And last night worked until 1130 and had to be up at 5 to make levi breakfast and get ready for ortho. Of course he felt terrible knowing i didnt go to sleep til well after midnight and so he said i didnt need to make him breakfast. Great a lil extra sleep. Had to be to ortho in green bay at 7 and it takes 45 minutes to get there. Of course you know what happened! I turned OFF my alarm and fell asleep! Honestly i woke up right smack at 615 when i was suppose to leave! I freaked out, threw a bra on (it under my clothes of course! Lol!) Ripped my braces out, stumbled over a pile of clothes honestly making me fall on the floor, brushed my teeth, put braces back in, ran down the hall way only to hit my 2 toes on the door i asked levi to take off the guest bedroom that is now in the hall way, realized i forgot to put on socks, ran back down hallway, then back down it with socks in hand to hit the door with same two toes to make them bleed now, threw socks on with shoes and jacket and ran out the door. So may not of had the best start to my morning and may not of looked wonderful for ortho in my pajamas (thank goodness the ones i put on last night kind of qualify as sweat pants! Lol!) But i made it out the door in 5 minutes and made it to ortho on time with only a small amount of speeding included. :) of course they had 3 appointments scheduled for 7 so i didnt evn seen the doc until 730! Just my luck! Lol! Anyways i got my teeth shaved down today. I was relieved to find out itd only be for 7 teeth on the bottom. Yay. And i dont have to have any more done. Sweet! Cuz let me tell u.. sand paper on ur teeth sounds a ton like nails on a caulk board and i dont think ill soon forget that noise out of my head to be convinced ever to let that happen to me again! Anyways it feels like its been a loooong say and its only 9 am! And theres a dog barking outside my window? Hm never heard a dog sound so close to my house. Prob could check if hes in my yard but im way to tired to go to look. Now cody just called me to go shopping with him. You couldnt pay me to go shopping today, the day before christmas eve. No way! I have a huge headache, am starving, but what they did to my teeth i cant eat drink for a few hrs. So cant take anything cuz i cant swallow without water. Awesome. Hoping to fall asleep soon then get up and paint and then have to work tonight til super late again. Joy! At least levis dad sounds like he wont be here right away because of his truck load so ill have a lil more time to get the room back together! Yesh! Goodnight! :)

painting...

SO I am finally painting. The guest bedroom of course since its the only paint color I could decide on. :) But let me tell you, I only have the closet done and I'm ready to be d-o-n-e! Lets just say the people that used to live here werent clean at all. Farthest thing from it. And their white walls in the closet were more like tan/yellow with random lines of 'stuff' (possibly animal urine.. ew!) on them. I will tell you even if that is what it is (because that is what it looks like!) it does not smell. Thank GOODNESS! Our closet has this also, so someday I will be working on our closet, which will be so joyous after I did this other closet which is much smaller then ours. Not that ours is big, its just very tall cause our bedroom has cathedral ceilings. Ugh. Anyways, I didn't take a picture of the closet before, because its gross, but I did take before pictures of the room. Also, painting white over white (no matter how dirty the walls are!) is never an easy task. And so I was covered in paint from being in such a small room having to paint on 3 sides of me and the ceiling and it wasn't very fun. I can not wait to paint the tan color I picked out so that i wont be squinting trying to see where I last painted! Before I can do that, I have to paint the bedroom ceiling. Gross. Not going to be fun. Oh and did I mention that the closet didn't have a coat of paint on it? We found that out when we went to 'wash' the walls. Yes, my husband wants to wash all the walls of our house before we paint. Now that may be the 'proper' way to do it, but I've never done that. It just seems ridiculous since were painting every square inch of our house. So anyways we did the bedroom then went into the closet and the "plaster" or whatever it is texture stuff just crumbles off the wall. Seriously. Lovely!

Anyways, I was suppose to be working today. I worked yesterday. For a long time. I am tired. And I just got a text saying that Harry has the flu so I don't have to work today! Yippee!! So now I'm going to go finish my Christmas shopping today! Not so excited about that, since I'd rather be home painting... OR NOT! Yay for having an excuse not to have to paint! LOL! So it shall wait one more day until I paint the ceiling... gag!

I think I'm ready to hire professionals to come paint the rest of the house! :P (in all joking, i would never do that because i do enjoy painting when its all said and done, but i'm super jealous of matt and jane because they had their entire house painted before they moved in. Not fair! this huge company with a bunch of guys came in and painted their whole huge house in 2 days flat. And I'm on my 3rd day of the bedroom being empty staring at me. awesome!)

Anywhooooo, this is all yous get for now. I want to make it to the mall before the crazy people get there (obviously I'm one of them! lol!) and hopefully get in and out quick! Well see how it goes! Anyways, soon I'll have pictures of the bedroom before.. and then in a few days (or a week! lol!) I'll have after pictures. Its a good thing Levi's dad is coming to spend the week next week so I have a reason the bedroom needs to be put back together... otherwise I'd have a feeling our hallway would have a boxspring and mattress stuck in it for a while! :P

I Can Not...

make up my mind to save my life! Seriously, its getting kind of old! I can't decide what color I want to paint any room except the guest bedroom. And the ceilings. Yep! I can not decide what I want to do, buy a cricut machine or not. Buy some storage containers for scrapbooking/sewing or not. Try to convince my husband to build me something or not.

Okay, that last one I lied. I'm always coming up with wonderful ideas for hubby to make me. He never has successfully made me anything I've asked for yet. Tonight I even used the line "do you know why you should make this for me?" (of course he said why) and i followed with "Because Uncle Glenn would make it for Aunt Jenae!" I got a good chuckle out of that one. Wish more of that Krisher wood working blood ran through my husband! :)

Anywho, I can't even decide which wedding pictures to print. Which is my favorite. Which to get a big print of. What kind of words to put on the wall. Seriously, I just wish I'd come home one day and it'd all be done. Cause at least then it'd be decided!! I really look forward to doing some of the projects, like painting, printing, sewing, scrapbooking... but to make the choices on the paint colors, the pictures to print, the fabric to buy, the backgrounds to use, I'm afraid I might not ever actually do the projects for fear of not making a choice even to begin with.

If I didn't know better, I'd say I was pregnant.



Of course I do know better, so I know I'm not. Incase you didn't catch that part. :P


And to clear up a few comments from the last post...
I'm not usually patient enough to do 10 loads of laundry. And I wasn't desperate for clothes. Sad thing is only 2 loads of those 10 were clothes. Just sheets, more sheets, mattress pads, rugs... you name it! And yes, it all got folded AND put away that day! Amazing for me if I do say so myself! :) And loved that everyone got a kick out of me and my obsession of using chairs and wrapping paper to save me from the boogie man. :) And if I ever found someone, or something, in my house I would SCREAM and run. And probably fall and get caught. But note that I always have my phone in my hand ready to start dialing when I'm checking places for the boogie man. Ya know, cause I'd scream, run, find a hiding place, and successfully call 911 all at the same time! :P And if I knew someone was there before looking, I would text someone to call 911 for me.. cause of course you cant talk out load or they'll know you know they're there! LOL! Too funny. BTW have you ever thought of that? They should SO make a number to text in emergencies. Like so you don't have to talk so the boogie man can't find you! Oh that is genius. Thats enough creativity for this over tired brain for one night. Of to dreamy land since hubbys home to save me from boogie man now.. Night!

Seriously, I cant believe how quickly Christmas is coming. I just yesterday realized my two weeks off starts next week! Although 3/4 of the days Im 'off' ill actually be working, but its for diff families for the most part and just a few hours here and there. :) not that i dont love my boys, its just been a rough week, and its only tuesday! The week cant possibly get much qorse, but regardless Im soo happy to have my bff to talk everythin out with! I love u sam! :)
Besides having an insane weekend and feeling frustrated, hubby is gone for the week. Its been alright at home, ya know with dining room chairs wedged under both entrance doors to the house. Oh and two wrapping paper rolls in the patio door for good measure. Lets just say i check every closet, shower, and semi large cupboard for intruders before safely locking myself into the bedroom at night. With yet another dining room chair of course. Its better to be safe then sorry! Lol! I can not wait until thursday when he comes home! :)))
I am trying to 'teach' emmett how to put himself to sleep. Thats the cause of not such a good week. They always let him sleep in his bouncy seat thingy, and well hes on his way to 7 months, almost 20 lbs, and wont fit much longer. Needless to say once he falls asleep, on his belly mind you, he sleeps a loooong time. Its a love hate process. I love when he sleeps but hate havn to help him get there. I love hes snuggled up on his belly and can find his hand to sooth himself to sleep, but hate checkn on him evry 10 mins to make sure hes breathing cuz hes on his belly. Ugh.
Oh and i didnt no it was possible but i did 10 loads of laundry yesterday, 5 at work and 5 at home. From 7am until 10pm with a half hr off to drive home of course. I felt like nothn cld be dirty anymore! Lol!
Okay, thats all ive got for now. Sorry for bad grammar, spelling and what not. Thats what you get from my 'smart' phone... lol!

Wedding Pictures!

Incase yous didn't see it on my facebook page today, our A-M-A-Z-I-N-G wedding photographer posted a slideshow video thinger of our wedding pictures. Seriously, he was amazing before, and now him remembering our anniversary and doing something for it, seriously? Who would do that! I'm amazed. From Alicia finding him online to the phone calls with him to meeting him in person and absolutely loving him, I think this was the best we could have EVER chosen! If that wasn't amazing enough, he posted this morning linking to it and saying how sorry he was he couldn't put the "Here we stand" song as the background music, because he wasn't allowed to buy it from 'sunny mexico!'... Like okay really?! You were just my wedding photographer, how do you remember what song was at our wedding?! LOL! I hardly remember it without having to look it up! I mean, I love the song, but forget what its called often! AND then he practically praised me up and down for 'all i've done over the last year for them' and said I can have a session of my choice whenever we come back to mexico 'on the house!' I know how much it costed for them for our wedding, so I realize how much he's giving me for FREE! because of everything I've done?! Really all I did was just tell other brides about how AMAZING he is! Not too hard to do! Anyways, now I have yet one more reason (believe me theres a TON of reasons already!) to go back to Mexico! If only hubby was as convinced. He'll go back, just wants to go on a cruise first. Oh well!

Anniversary, Birthday, and Boys!

Incase you were wondering, yea it was our anniversary yesterday. I found myself looking at the clock all day yesterday thinking "last year at this exact time I was _________ (getting room service, waking to the waves crashing in and a Gorgeous day, crackers falling down my boobs while in my wedding dress {ha!} answering the phone to be told "its time!" and then walking down the aisle!) It was quite the day. I had to work for a few hours for the family in Kimberly. They are super easy. They ALSO have 3 boys (incase I haven't told this story, my norm work boys are 6 months, 3 years, and 5 years) who are 10 months, 3 years, and 5 years! Quite insane how similar the 2 families are. But this ones like extremely chilled and laid back and they are quite hilarious. Harry (5 yrs) had a piano recital. Harley (3 yrs) decided he was going to "behave" so he could go along. (he stepped in dog poop walking out the door, they should have known that was a sign of what laid ahead! LOL!) and George (10 months) stayed home. And he slept until seriously 5 minutes before they got home. Yep. I sat and watched the Packers play. And then I came back home and finished watching the game at home. Rough job. LOL! Anyways, heres George! He thought my camera was funny. Its flash is SUPER bright! :)

Isn't he adorable? He just turned 10 months and he is already walking and like full running already! Crazy baby! :)

And here's my Emmett baby! He now is a full 6 months old, weighing in just barely in the 19 lbs still, almost 20! :) His hair is coming in full blown now and it is SOO fuzzy its so cute! :) He's FULL of smiles and crabbies withing the same minute most days. :PIsn't he sweet? Funny baby! :)

Next up... of course my original baby! Sir Elijah! He is full of spunk and crazies lately! I love the lil man to pieces! :)
And he loves my new phone to pieces too! Such a ham! :)

Anyways, to update about the last post (the video) that was at our anniversary party my parents threw for me. Our anniversary is shared with my cousin Kari's birthday. She is living in Hawaii with her 3 year old, almost 1 year old, and is due within a month with their 3rd. And her husbands in Iraq (or some other country?) anyways I thought (and everyone agreed!) it'd be a great idea to sing happy birthday to her! So thats what we did, and sent it to her on facebook since it was 'too large' to send via text! Oops! LOL! Anyways, I posted it here also since it was so sweet. :)

Okay, I think thats all. We've passed our one year marker, looking forward to a VERY crazy week (including 3 jobs on friday.. yipes!) Thanksgiving with Levi's family this weekend, and then next week will be super lame since levi will be gone to 'school' for work from Sunday night til Thursday night. :( Super sad. And I don't even 'work' any evenings next week! I'm thinking about asking some of my families if anyone needs any days since I'll be home by myself listening to every creek and wind blowing thinking someones breaking in. Ugh.

Choices

Im trying this blog from my phone while laying in bed thing. Im starting to like and understand my new phone and all its crazy high tech stuff its got going on. :)
Anyways i just stopped by to say i havent made any choices yet concerning my last post and am struggling more with it every single day. Heres the main thing i am constantly going over, can i put a price tag on my sanity?! That may sound a little extreme but ultimately i think it might really be what decides for me.
