Seeing is Believing!

This is for my sweet nieces & nephew who have asked me about my braces and don't quite understand how my braces work. I don't really know how they work either, or how to properly describe how they work, but to me, seeing results is believing and here is a few pictures to show yous the results so far! I think they're looking great! And I'm not even half way done yet! Approximately 2 more months from being half way.. So excited! :)

Note: These pictures are of set 1 and set 16. I am currently on set 14, so the set 16 is the pair I will put in, in 4 weeks. (each set is in for 2 weeks... only set that was in longer was set 3 which was 4 weeks because half way through they put on the 'attachments' which look like little bubbles, which help pull the teeth) I wanted to use the one I had the most far out and the very beginning one. And note set 1 moved my teeth too, so my teeth were even worse before set 1! :) Obviously I can't use set 14 because they're in my mouth.. and set 13 is white looking like set 1 so I used set 16 cause its the cleanest (since its not used yet!) and is nice looking. :) I have to go back to the ortho on Dec 23rd to have my teeth all 'shaved' down (by like 3 mm per tooth supposely? i dont really know!) to make room. Of course it would end up being the day before Christmas to put my teeth through crazy pain of shaving them all down and all feeling weird so that on Christmas I can't enjoy any yummy food! Well I can, but ya know, soup and mashed potatoes type of things! :( Oh well, its really the perfect diet plan. :P

Here's the top before:And the top after:
Obviously not totally fixed yet, but the 2 teeth that are on the sides of the 2 middle teeth have made some movement finally! This is not a lot of difference yet, but its because ALL the back teeth had to move back first, to make the room. :) And the tooth on the right of the middle is really looking better, and the one on the left is finally starting to come forward. Before, you could hardly even see it at all. :)

Here's from above them, you can see how much that little tooth is moving. :)
And here's the bottom teeth! These have made amazing movements! They look close to being straight already! Insane!
Here's the bottom before.. Seriously all over the place!
And after! Crazy! :)
This next shot is of the front area of the bottom teeth.. see how crowded they were? They were pretty much over lapped and missing a full tooth space pretty much!
And now after! I'm very impressed. Its crazy because I've not really noticed that much difference looking in the mirror, but now looking back its amazing.
I'm impressed and don't really know 'how' they work, but obviously they must be working! LOL! And did I mention that at my next appointment I get to stop wearing rubber bands?! I didn't know that until today! I thought I would wear them until the end, but guess not! I don't mind the rubber bands at all, so its not like a huge deal, but the ortho was SO happy with how they're doing he said I could stop them today, but just to be overly safe he said just these 6 more weeks. Sweet! :)

Hope yous all think they're as cool as I do! :o) Obviously I must be pretty excited because before I hated showing my teeth or braces at all, but now I'm just ecstatic to show them off!

That's quite interesting! I wish they had been available when I had braces. I didn't sleep very well with a mouth full of metal! :( Damion's interested in using this method to straighten out his teeth, hopefully someday soon!`

Trevor's retainers are the same...and it was amazing how much his teeth had moved in the 50 hrs or so from the time he got his brace off and the retainers in. Very exciting for you!
